Being Jewish means something different to everyone. To the Jewish Federations, it means helping others. So to demonstrate that, and get young people involved, we’re inviting people to share their definition of being Jewish while helping others – for every #ish posted, we’ll give 25 cents to charity.

When people facebook or tweet what it means to be Jewish, and tag it with #ish, their definition shows up on whatsyourish.com.

Here’s one of the videos that’s helping get the word out. And here’s a funny #ish that’s been submitted.

Eventually, we plan to take all the #ishs and put them together as a historic installation of a collective definition of what it means to be Jewish.
